said try to clear and format the card in the camera. When checking the " more properties" tab on her photos just posted here, the shutter count reads in the 55,400 range. but i'm reaching into the farthest corner of my memory for that one, so i could be wrong. I believe reading that that exif data is inaccurate. It will show most exif info including shutter count at least it does on the 350D/Rebel XT If you post an unedited jpg to flickr then go to the photos page and click on more properties on the right hand side. If your numbering got reset or changed anywhere along the way, then you've got nothing to go by except guesswork. The only thing that you can go by is your image numbering.
#EOS SHUTTER COUNT FREE SOFTWARE#
Canon Service centers are rumored to have software that can read it out, but that software is not available to anyone else. There is simply no way for you to determine for certain how many pictures have been taken. The data in those fields on other Canon DSLRs is not a shutter actuation count, and is useless. There is no shutter actuation count in the EXIF data from Canon DSLRs except for the 1-series. Does anybody knows any program i can dowload to view exif viewer? But it must be a program which runs on a mac. but i think its not accurate, not even close to accurate. I read that we can see the shutter count from the EXIF viewer when we upload our photos here in flckr.
